DOHA, Sept. 19 (Xinhua) -- Sharjah FC beat Al Duhail SC 4-2 to get their first win on matchday four of the 2020 AFC Champions League group C on Friday.

The second half saw Sharjah take the first lead after Moroccan defender Medhi Benatia received a red card for an elbow on Sharjah playmaker Igor Coronado, who beat the goalkeeper with a curled effort, but the ball bounced off the upright and fell to midfielder Majed Surour whose diving header help Sharjah establish the lead for the first time in the tie.

In the 70th minute, Al Duhail restored parity again as Al Duhail captain Ali launched a half-volleyed effort that hit the upright on its way in to tie 2-2. Five minutes later, Sharjah were awarded a penalty and Coronado stepped up and converted from the spot.

In added time, Sharjah sealed their victory as former Kashima Antlers and Al Ain winger Caio exchanged passes with Coronado following a corner and drilled an effort from a tight angle that beat the goalkeeper to make it 4-2 in the end.

In another match of group C, Persepolis FC edged Al Taawoun 1-0 as the Iraqi midfielder Bashar Resan scored the match's only goal from the penalty spot to take Iranian side to the top of the group with seven points.

In group D, the two matches ended with lopsided results as Al Nassr defeated Sepahan FC 2-0 and Al Sadd SC overcame Al Ain FC 4-0.
